Vaccination
"Empowering Immunity, Protecting Lives."
Service Description
A vaccine for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) is a medical intervention designed to prevent the transmission of specific infections caused by sexual contact. These vaccines work by stimulating the body's immune system to recognize and fight off the pathogens responsible for certain STDs, such as the human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B. By introducing an inactive or attenuated form of the pathogen or a piece of its genetic material, the vaccine prepares the immune system to respond more effectively if exposed in the future. STD vaccines play a crucial role in public health by reducing the incidence of these infections, preventing complications, and ultimately decreasing the spread of disease. These vaccines are typically administered through an injection and may require multiple doses for full effectiveness. Doses recommendations/durations: - Hepatitis A - 1 dose - Hepatitis B - 3 doses/6 months - Human Papillomavirus (HPV) - 3 doses/6 months - Influenza - 1 dose per year - Pneumococcal - 3 doses/6 months Prices: - Twinrix (Hep A & B) - RM175 per dose - Euvax-B (Hep B) - RM45 per dose - Gardasil 9 (HPV) - RM580 per dose - Influvac (Influenza) - RM80 per dose - Pnuemovax 23 (Pnuemococcal) - RM140 per dose
